AERTEC Solutions, the international engineering firm specialising in technologies applied to aeronautics, will be taking part at the 3rd Unmanned Systems Exhibition & Conference (UMEX), the Middle East’s most important unmanned systems trade show, which will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre between 25 and 27 February. The Emirates’ capital will be hosting this event for the second time. It attracted almost a hundred exhibitors from 23 countries and around 5,000 visitors the last time it was held in 2016. Aside from an exhibition area and a series of conferences, UMEX 2018 will also include live flight demos.

AERTEC Solutions will exhibit its portfolio of solutions in the area of unmanned aircraft systems on its own stand, the most outstanding of which is the TARSIS 25 fixed-wing aerial platform, a versatile high-performance solution which allows for different configurations and missions. It is a high-technology tactical remotely piloted aircraft system (UAV/RPAS) designed for observation and surveillance applications in both the civil and military spheres. The Spanish multinational will display a TARSIS 25 and a TARSIS 75 simulator on its stand, the latter being its other UAV.

The TARSIS 25 has a wingspan of four metres, a maximum take-off weight of 25 kg, a maximum payload of five kilogrammes and an autonomy of seven hours. In addition, it has a radio communications range of 150 km and can conduct its missions from either a runway or a catapult.

The TARSIS 25 was presented at the 6th Expodefensa trade show in Colombia last December, when the signing of a agreement by the Spanish multinational and Corporación de la Industria Aeronáutica Colombiana (CIAC) to coproduce and jointly market the TARSIS 25 was announced.
